In Baku's Binagadi district, large tree branches broke off and fell onto a five-story residential building at 50 Abay Kunanbayev Street.
Residents reported that the incident sounded like an earthquake and damaged the roofs of some apartments. One resident said, 'I thought it was an earthquake. When I entered the kitchen, I saw the ceiling collapsing and water filling the house.'
The Baku City Greening Department stated that the fallen branches have been cleared. Due to limited access for machinery, pruning of the remaining branches will be carried out in the coming days.
