Tamara Fortes, head of the "UN4UkrainianCities" project under the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), stated that the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities has moved from the concept phase to the implementation phase.
She made these remarks during the event "Rebuilding Homes and the Future: Urban Revival in Kharkiv" held as part of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
Fortes noted that projects are underway in Kharkiv and Mykolaiv to create modern, inclusive, and energy-efficient living spaces. The goal is not only to construct new buildings but also to develop social infrastructure, public spaces, and an accessible urban environment.
