The Ministry of Science and Education has amended some decisions of its Board. Minister Emin Amrullayev signed the relevant decision.
According to the decision, changing the educational institution, specialty, form of education, reinstatement, or continuation after academic leave must be in line with the student's previous language of instruction. Exceptions are made only for English and Turkish languages.
The period of academic leave and the time from expulsion to reinstatement will not be counted in the student's study duration.
Students pursuing additional higher education in the same field cannot change institution, specialty, or form of education. They only have the right to be expelled, reinstated, or take academic leave.
For specialties requiring special abilities, changes are allowed only if the student's exam results exceed the minimum passing score from the admission year.
Special rules also apply to students studying at foreign universities.
