An area near a shopping center in Khirdalan, Absheron District, has turned into a garbage dump.
Oxu.Az reports that a video has been shared on this matter.
It was noted that near the "Riyad" Shopping Center, residents throw household waste on the roadside instead of into garbage containers. As a result, a large garbage dump has formed in the area.
In response to Oxu.Az's inquiry, the Absheron District Executive Authority stated that the mentioned area is a private property owned by a legal entity.
"The company has been warned several times about keeping the area clean. It should be noted that residents living nearby have been dumping household waste, polluting the environment. Although there are containers intended for household waste in the nearby area, citizens throw their household waste onto this roadside section. Through you, we call on residents to throw household waste into containers and not to pollute the environment," the statement said.
