Azerbaijani Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov received his Georgian counterpart, Sulkhana Tamazashvili, in Baku. The meeting focused on cooperation and security issues.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on May 18, the Georgian delegation visited the Alley of Honors to pay respects to National Leader Heydar Aliyev. They also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame complex in the Alley of Martyrs.

Minister Eyvazov congratulated his colleague and emphasized the high level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The importance of joint efforts in combating transnational crime and cybersecurity was highlighted.

Sulkhana Tamazashvili expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted Azerbaijan's rapid development and stability. During the visit, the guests also toured a military unit of the Internal Troops in Baku.
