Residents of Ashaghi Shabalid village in Shaki district appealed to Baku TV's hotline, complaining about the lack of gas in the village.
Over 500 residents live in this settlement, yet natural gas has never been supplied. Villagers say procuring firewood is both physically and financially burdensome.
One resident stated: "We're exhausted from carrying firewood. My two sons left the village due to the lack of gas and roads."
Another resident noted spending 1,500-2,000 manats on firewood during winter and an additional 27-30 manats monthly for gas cylinders.
"Azəriqaz" Production Union said the gasification program is being implemented gradually according to internal financial capabilities, and the installation of street gas lines in Ashaghi Shabalid may be considered in future phases.
