The "Azerspace-3" telecommunications satellite is planned to be operational by the end of 2029.
This was stated by Shahin Babayev, Executive Director of "AZCON Holding", in an interview with Report.
According to him, the Azerbaijan Space Agency is currently expanding its activities in both telecommunications and observation satellites. The "Azersky-2A" observation satellite project continues and is expected to be completed by the end of 2029.
Babayev noted that considering the expiration of the "Azerspace-1" satellite's service life, it is planned to launch "Azerspace-3" by the end of 2029. Thus, Azercosmos will expand its services in both Earth observation and telecommunications.
