According to the law, an employee gains the right to annual leave after working for 6 months in their first year. However, some categories are exempt.
Oxu.Az reports that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has issued information. Certain employees can take leave without waiting 6 months:
- Persons with disabilities
- Employees under 18
- Women before or after maternity leave
- Employees hired within 3 months of release from military service
- Spouse of a military serviceman
- Students in educational institutions (during exams, coursework, thesis defense)
- Part-time workers whose primary job is on leave
Pedagogical staff directly involved in the educational process can also take leave during summer break or during the academic year with employer consent, regardless of start date.
