The closure of several IDP schools in Baku due to the reconstruction of liberated regions has caused discontent among staff.
A complaint to Oxu.Az hotline stated that although the Karabakh Regional Education Department created new schools, not all employees were placed. Most teachers were reassigned, but directors, deputies, heads of children's organizations, librarians, lab assistants, and technical staff remain unemployed.
Three schools in Mehdiabad settlement—Aghdam No.34, Fuzuli No.3, and Kalbajar No.13—have been closed. A new school, Mehdiabad No.7, is being established in their building, and students are being redirected there.
Allegedly, nearly 30 employees lost their jobs after their contracts were terminated.
The Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department stated that the optimization process is ongoing and no final decision has been made. Employee placement will be evaluated after the decision.
