A 27-year-old Baku resident developed rashes on her body after eating strawberries, which later led to skin peeling.

According to Oxu.Az citing "Xəzər" TV, the rashes turned into blisters and spread to her face.

The severe allergic reaction worsened her condition. She was diagnosed with toxic allergic dermatitis at the hospital.

Physician-efferentologist Aga Ismayilov stated that the cause might be fertilizers or chemicals used in growing the fruit. Fruits must be thoroughly washed before consumption.

He emphasized that removing the stem from the berry is also important. Otherwise, it can cause serious complications. The woman's condition is now satisfactory, and she is recovering at home.
