WUF13 Discusses Human Capital for Sustainable Cities

An international conference on "Formation of Human Capital in the Development of Sustainable and Resilient Cities" is being held jointly by Baku State University and the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture.

The event is one of the key platforms within the "Baku Urban Planning Week 2026," organized as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum.

The conference brings together heads of state agencies, UN representatives, international experts, scientists, and urban planning professionals.

In the first session, participants included BSU rector Elchin Babayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Dovlatkhan Dovlatkhanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Idris Isayev, parliamentary chairpersons, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Igor Garafulic, Vice-President of ANAS Rasim Aliguliyev, and rectors from various universities.

Discussions cover approaches in urban planning, architecture, engineering, ecology, economics, law, social sciences, and digital technologies.
