On May 21, 2026, within the framework of WUF13, a media tour to Shamakhi was organized for foreign media representatives visiting Azerbaijan, jointly organized by the Media Development Agency and WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company.
During the tour, participants first visited the Shamakhi Juma Mosque, one of the oldest Muslim temples in Azerbaijan, the South Caucasus, and the Middle East. Built in 743, the mosque has preserved its historical significance despite centuries of earthquakes.
Next, they toured the "Meysari" winery complex, where favorable climate and soil conditions support the cultivation of high-quality grapes.
Finally, the guests visited the village of Demirchiler, known for its ancient blacksmithing traditions dating back to the 15th century.
