An information session regarding the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) was held at Baku State University (BSU).
According to Oxu.Az citing Report, the university’s students and faculty attended the event.
BSU Vice-Rector Alish Agamirzayev stated: "Azerbaijan has hosted many prestigious international events in recent years. WUF13 is one of them."
He noted that BSU students are already participating in educational projects within the forum’s framework. Agamirzayev highlighted Azerbaijan’s rich urban planning traditions and Baku’s architectural appeal.
Press Secretary of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, Ramiz Hasanov, said: "Azerbaijan’s urban development projects attract international interest. Baku hosting WUF13 is proof of this."
Emin Huseynzade, Communications Manager of the WUF13 Operating Company, noted that the forum was established in 2001 and is the largest non-legislative global event of the UN.
The session concluded with a Q&A. Notably, WUF13 Festivals have been organized in various cities across the country in connection with the forum, which will take place in Baku from May 17-22.
