The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), co-organized by UN-Habitat and the Government of Azerbaijan, will begin on May 17.
The event will start with the raising of the UN and Azerbaijani flags.
A key highlight of the first day is a ministerial meeting on the New Urban Agenda, chaired by Azerbaijan. This meeting will review progress and identify challenges at the midpoint of the 20-year implementation period.
The forum will host assemblies for Women, Local Governments, Community Organizations, Children and Youth, and Business.
For the first time, the GWOPA Assembly will be held within the WUF framework.
WUF13 takes place in Baku from May 17-22. See the full program on the official page.
