Details have emerged on how public transport will operate during the WUF13 preparation period and the forum itself.

The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) announced the following arrangements:

Bus services: Nine hubs and two final stops, along with over 67 intermediate stops, have been established. There will be 6 routes from the airport to designated points and 12 routes from those points to the forum area during event days. Transport will mainly use electric buses. AYNA’s monitoring center will oversee operations 24/7, with nearly 1,500 staff involved.

The “Ayna MaaS” app allows trip planning for both event and public transport routes. Foreign bank cards are accepted for payments.

Infrastructure: Special lanes on 6 streets and avenues totaling 41.5 km have been created, and horizontal markings on 34 streets (170 km) have been restored.

Micromobility: 63.2 km of micromobility lanes have been established, connecting major points. The scooter fleet has been upgraded, and registration with foreign mobile numbers is possible.

Taxi services: 150 “Baku Taxi” and 330 airport taxi operator vehicles have been engaged. Drivers have undergone special training. Taxis can be used in the stadium transport zone and at Koroglu metro station. Pick-up/drop-off points at the airport are designated in front of Terminal 2.
