The third day of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) has concluded.
Discussions on various topics were held, and solutions to problems were proposed. Over 160 events took place during the day.
A special session titled "Cities at the Center of Connectivity: Reconstruction and Regional Cooperation" was held. Speakers included Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, and Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev.
A high-level dialogue on "Climate-Resilient Cities and Communities in the Caspian Region: Vertical Climate Financing for Urban Adaptation" also took place. Officials highlighted problems related to the Caspian Sea and proposed solutions.
One of the conferences held was on "Peace-oriented Climate Action through Urban Solutions in Conflict and Vulnerable Situations." The forum continues its work tomorrow.
Overall, various training sessions, conferences, and special sessions were held. WUF13 is co-organized by the UN-Habitat and the Government of Azerbaijan. The forum, dedicated to "Homes for All: Safe and Sustainable Cities and Settlements," will continue until May 22.
