On the eve of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), a special cultural program called "Voice of the City" was presented at the historic location of Jafar Jabbarly Azerbaijanfilm Studio, as part of Baku Urban Planning Week.
According to Oxu.Az citing AZERTAC, the event was organized by the "Voice of the Land" and "AteshHub" platforms, with support from the Azerbaijan Film Agency, the Center for Development of Cultural and Creative Industries, and Jafar Jabbarly Azerbaijanfilm Studio.
The "Voice of the City" project presented the city not only as an architectural and urban planning object, but also through music, digital art, film heritage, and modern creative energy.
As part of the project, the walls of the Azerbaijanfilm studio building, which carries the architectural heritage of the Soviet era, were transformed into a modern art object. Digital projections, live videomapping, mural concepts, graffiti aesthetics, electronic music, and DJ sets combined to reflect the city's memory, rhythm, and creative energy in a new form.
It should be noted that "Voice of the City", as an important part of the Baku Urban Planning Week program, offers a creative vision for the future of urban culture and puts Baku in the context of global urban discussions not only as an example of urban planning but also as a space of modern culture and creative transformation.
