Zangilan student wins scholarships from world’s top universities

11th grader Yusif Yaqubov from Zangilan wins scholarships from top global universities including Edinburgh, Shanghai Jiao Tong, and Arizona State.

Yusif Yaqubov, a 2009-born resident of Zangilan, has won scholarships from prestigious foreign universities.

Report informs that Yaqubov’s family was among the first to move to Zangilan city.

A 11th-grade student at Baku Physics and Mathematics Lyceum, he is a winner of the national mathematics olympiad.

He also earned admission without exams to Azerbaijani universities: ADA, BANM, UNEC, and others.

Foreign universities include: University of Edinburgh, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Seoul National University, Bilkent, Sabancı, Koç, Arizona State University, and Pace University.

Scholarship amounts range from $37,000 to $148,000.

Yusif has applied to a state program to pursue studies abroad.
