"Women must be involved in water resource management."
Oxu.Az reports that this was stated by Zeynep Bodur, President and CEO of Turkey's Kale Group, at an event held within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
She noted that women suffer most from water scarcity: "Urban planning and water issues must develop in parallel. Of course, sanitation and wastewater management must be considered. The quality of cities is not measured by the buildings constructed there, but by the standard of living."
