England striker Harry Kane has surpassed Brazilian legend Pele in the all-time World Cup top scorers list.
According to TASS, Kane scored a brace against DR Congo in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, taking his World Cup tally to 13 goals.
With this, he surpassed Pele's 12 goals and equaled Frenchman Just Fontaine.
Lionel Messi leads the all-time list with 19 goals. Other players ahead of Kane: Kylian Mbappe (18), Miroslav Klose (16), Ronaldo (15), Gerd Müller (14), and Just Fontaine (13).
The 32-year-old Kane has been playing for Bayern Munich since August 2023. He is England's all-time top scorer with 83 goals. He was the top scorer at the 2018 World Cup in Russia with 6 goals.
The 2026 World Cup is being held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, ending on July 19.
