The White House has rejected Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado's request to return to her country.
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate wanted to help earthquake victims. However, the Trump administration called her an "obstacle".
Machado tried to enter Venezuela via Curacao, but the Netherlands denied her entry without US support.
Recall that on June 24, two strong earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck Venezuela, killing 2,295 people.
