Bangkok, Thailand's capital, is experiencing dangerously high heat index levels, reaching 52 degrees Celsius. While the actual temperature is 36°C, high humidity makes it feel much hotter, posing serious health risks.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has issued a warning, advising residents to avoid prolonged outdoor exposure. The heat index, which combines temperature and humidity, has reached the "extremely dangerous" category.
Authorities urge immediate medical attention if symptoms of heatstroke or discomfort appear. April is traditionally the hottest month in Thailand, but this year's conditions are particularly severe.
