France's first lady Brigitte Macron has categorically denied allegations that she slapped her husband, President Emmanuel Macron, in May 2025.

According to Oxu.Az, a source close to the first lady told RTL radio that Brigitte Macron rejected the story during a conversation with the book's author in March.

The source said the first lady emphasized that she never checked her husband's mobile phone. It is noted that the author did not publish this position in his book.

Recall that Tardif, author of 'Un couple (presque) parfait' about the Macrons' relationship, had earlier claimed the incident was triggered by the first lady seeing a message from Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani on the president's phone. Tardif later clarified: 'I mentioned the actress's name only because such rumors were circulating in Paris at the time.'

He also noted that he raised this version at the Elysee Palace but emphasized it was not an official position.
