Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Turkey is ready to provide full support for the implementation of any agreement reached between the US and Iran.
He made the remarks during a video conference with US President Donald Trump and leaders of several Muslim countries.
Erdogan emphasized that Turkey is working to establish peace across the region and believes it is possible to find adequate solutions to disputed issues, including Iran's nuclear dossier.
The video conference covered events in Iran and the Middle East. Erdogan noted that Turkey has always supported resolving problems through dialogue and diplomacy.
He expressed satisfaction that the diplomatic process with Iran, led by President Trump, has reached a new stage, and that any resulting agreement would contribute to regional stability.
Erdogan stressed that ensuring free passage through the Strait of Hormuz would provide great relief for the global economy.
The Turkish leader voiced hope for a new era where regional countries do not threaten each other.
Earlier, Trump announced that the draft of a future agreement with Iran had been largely agreed upon. He held phone calls with leaders of Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, UAE, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey to discuss the memorandum of understanding for a peace deal with Iran.
