American vlogger Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, has set a new record on YouTube.
He became the first YouTuber in platform history to reach 500 million subscribers.
MrBeast's channel was created in February 2012. Initially, he focused on gaming videos, but later shifted to high-budget challenges, prize giveaways, and charity projects.
His most popular video, "Squid Game in Real Life," has nearly 1 billion views. His first viral hit was a video in 2017 where he counted to 10,000.
Today, MrBeast is not only a content creator but also an entrepreneur, owning the "MrBeast Burger" restaurant chain and "Feastables" candy brand.
