Direct talks between US and Iranian representatives are planned to take place in Switzerland next week.
According to BFMTV, high-level US and Iranian officials could meet in Switzerland. Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar plans to visit Switzerland to facilitate the talks.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Geneva could be the location for a possible agreement between the US and Iran. Axios reported that US Air Force planes had carried equipment to Geneva ahead of a possible visit by US Vice President JD Vance.
However, Iran's Fars news agency, citing a source close to the talks, said reports of an agreement being signed in Geneva were inaccurate. According to the source, Tehran has not yet made a final decision on the deal.
Notably, US President Donald Trump has said the formalization of the agreement with Iran is planned for June 14.
