Tehran has no intention of using the unfrozen funds to purchase US products, according to Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.

In a post on social media, Qalibaf refuted US claims that Iran would spend the frozen assets on American goods.

"The US is spreading false claims that we will use our frozen funds to buy their products. How interesting. The only product we have harvested is what you have sown: decades of mistrust," the speaker said.

According to Qalibaf, the United States simply exports broken promises and meaningless negotiations.

Earlier, US Vice President JD Vance suggested that Iran's frozen assets could be unfrozen, but the funds should be directed toward purchasing US agricultural products rather than financing pro-Iranian groups.

US President Donald Trump emphasized that his country has not paid Iran any money and that Iran's previously frozen funds have not been given to them: "We will unblock a portion of their funds under our full control for our farmers to buy corn, wheat, soybeans and other products. Iran has a serious need for food, and we will supply it only from the US."
