On June 25, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had a phone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the call, the importance of traditionally productive cooperation in culture, science, education, and sports was emphasized.

The sides also exchanged views on priority directions of bilateral relations.
