A search has been conducted at the Elysee Palace in Paris, the official residence of French President Emmanuel Macron. This was reported by "Le Monde."
The investigation concerns the awarding of state contracts to a single company for over 20 years for ceremonies transferring remains of prominent figures to the Pantheon.
On May 21, two Paris financial investigating judges carried out the search at the Elysee Palace as part of a probe into the organization of Pantheon entrance ceremonies.
Earlier, French authorities had attempted to search the palace but failed. Searches were also conducted at the National Monuments Center, offices of "Shotcut Events" (the company that organized ceremonies at the Pantheon from 2002 to 2024), and homes of several figures involved. France's financial anti-corruption brigade audited contracts with "Shotcut Events."
