Amid a potential US strike on Iran, President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a long and dramatic phone call.
According to Israel's Channel 12, the leaders spoke late last night.
Earlier, Trump said the planned strike on Iran for May 19 was canceled at the request of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
The US leader gave Iran two to three days; the deadline may be extended to early next week.
On February 28, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the IDF had launched a preemptive strike on Iran. Trump confirmed US involvement in the operation.
Iran retaliated by firing dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel. Israeli air defense systems were activated.
On March 1, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was reported killed. Iran struck neighboring countries housing US bases, temporarily closing their airspace.
Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz faced major disruptions. On April 8, hours before Trump's ultimatum to Tehran expired, Washington agreed to a two-week ceasefire.
A first meeting between the sides was held in Islamabad. A second meeting scheduled for April 22 did not take place.
