Dissatisfaction with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's performance has reached a record high.
According to Oxu.Az, a survey by the INSA sociological institute for Bild newspaper shows this.
Only 15% of respondents rated Merz's work positively, the lowest level ever recorded for him. Compared to late April, support dropped by 4 percentage points.
Meanwhile, 77% expressed dissatisfaction, an increase of 6 points from the previous survey. 8% found it difficult to answer.
Only 16% were satisfied with the government's performance, while 78% rated it negatively.
The survey involved 1005 participants and was conducted on June 4-5.
Results show that dissatisfaction is also rising among supporters of the ruling coalition (CDU/CSU and SPD).
INSA head Hermann Binkert said: "A government that cannot convince even its own voters is doomed to failure. The scale of dissatisfaction far exceeds the usual level for the second year of a new federal government."
