Iran has attacked Bahraini territory with drones.
According to Oxu.Az citing the "Bahrain" agency, the kingdom's Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The Foreign Ministry strongly condemns Iran's attack on Bahrain using drones early this morning. This is a gross violation of (Bahrain's) sovereignty and an open threat to the safety of citizens and residents," the statement said.
Earlier, the US Central Command said it had struck Iranian territory in response to an attack on a merchant ship in the Strait of Hormuz. In turn, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had launched retaliatory strikes on US troop positions in the Middle East.
