A 5.8 magnitude earthquake has been recorded in the Hindu Kush mountains of Afghanistan.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the epicenter was located 169 km east of Kunduz, a city with a population of approximately 161,000.
The quake's depth was recorded at 201 km.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties.
