Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with US President Donald Trump.
The leaders discussed Turkey-US bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.

During the conversation, Erdoğan assessed the decision to extend the ceasefire in the regional conflict as a positive step. He expressed belief in finding a rational solution to disputed issues and emphasized Turkey's continued support for constructive initiatives.
"The Turkish President noted that strengthening stability in Syria is an important gain for the entire region and stressed that Ankara's support for that country will continue uninterrupted. Erdoğan also emphasized the importance of preventing further deterioration of the situation in Lebanon," the statement said.
Erdoğan offered condolences to Trump over the attack on a mosque in San Diego, USA. He stressed Turkey's firm opposition to such hate crimes, regardless of the religious group targeted.
