India and the United States have formally agreed to cooperate on critical minerals.
The signing ceremony took place in New Delhi with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
This was reported by Oxu.Az citing TASS.
Jaishankar said: "Today, we are signing a bilateral framework agreement between India and the US aimed at ensuring the security of supply of critical minerals and rare earth elements."
He added that the agreement will deepen cooperation across all stages of the supply chain, including extraction, processing, and recycling.
Rubio noted that strategic interests of both countries require reliable and long-term access to critical minerals essential for an innovative economy.
