Philippine police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting at the Senate building.

Oxu.Az reports, citing ABS-CBN News.

"Southern District Police announced on Thursday that the suspect in the Senate shooting has been identified and arrested," the report said.

The identity of the suspect has not been disclosed.

It is noted that a shooting incident occurred at the Senate building of Congress the previous day, triggered by the arrest of a high-ranking senator.
