On June 27, Denmark recorded its highest temperature in over 150 years, reaching 36.6°C.
According to the Danish Meteorological Institute, as reported by The Guardian, the record was set north of Odense.
The previous record was 36.4°C in Holstebro, West Jutland, in August 1975.
