The trial of Samir Hasanov, accused of attempting to murder an acquaintance in a Baku beauty salon, continued in court.
Presided over by judge Sabina Mammadzade at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, the hearing featured witness testimonies.
Witness Tunzale Aliyeva stated she did not know the defendant personally: "I saw his photo on the victim's phone. When I entered the room, there was blood. I screamed for help."
She added that Samir initially introduced himself as single, but tensions arose when the victim discovered he was married. "He wrote on WhatsApp that if she left him, he would kill her."
Another witness, Omar Muradov, said: "Samir rushed at Cahan immediately upon entering. I hit him with fists and kicks from behind, but he didn't react."
Aliyeva also claimed the victim borrowed 3,000 manats from her, promising to pay but not doing so. "She said the money was to aggravate Samir's situation. I've been making payments for 7 months."
Evidence examination revealed the defendant did not voluntarily surrender to police. The defense's request to query the 24th Police Station was granted.
The next hearing is scheduled for June 4.
The incident occurred in November 2025 at a salon in Nizami district. Samir Hasanov, 39, allegedly stabbed 30-year-old Cahan Chelebiyeva. She was hospitalized. Hasanov is charged with attempted murder.
