A 10-year-old boy in Saint-Brieuc, France, has been accused of stabbing a 22-year-old woman. The incident occurred on June 15 in a forest.
According to prosecutor Julien Vattebled, the child approached the woman while she was exercising and demanded she remove her clothes. When she refused, he stabbed her twice with a knife.
Patrol officers later found a person matching the victim's description and discovered a knife similar to the weapon used in the crime. The suspect was initially placed under 12-hour surveillance, later extended by the prosecutor's office.
During questioning, the child admitted to the attack. A case has been opened for attempted murder. Since French law excludes criminal responsibility for minors of this age, a temporary legal measure was imposed: the child is prohibited from leaving home between 10 PM and 6 AM and from contacting the victim.
