Baku-based construction company Teymuroglu Construction, known for building multi-story residential buildings, has been fined after a fatal accident.
According to Oxu.Az, an investigation was conducted at Teymuroglu Construction Housing Cooperative (MTK) by the Baku City Department of the Labor Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
It was revealed that employee A. Asgerkhanov died as a result of an accident while performing his work duties.
The investigation also found that the employee was not provided with compulsory insurance against work-related accidents and occupational diseases.
Thus, the cooperative committed an administrative offense under Article 469-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
A representative of the MTK stated that although an employment contract was signed with the employee for 2026, his actual start date was different. Efforts were made to sign an insurance contract, but due to a system error and Ateshgah Sigorta's demand for cash payment, the contract was signed on a different date. The accident was caused by negligence. The company provided necessary assistance to the victim's family.
The Narimanov District Court fined the company 5,000 manat.
