The trial of 39-year-old M. Aliyev (surname conditional), accused of murdering his wife I. Talibova in Goranboy, has concluded.
According to Oxu.Az citing Qafqazinfo, the verdict was read at the Ganja Heavy Crimes Court.
Investigations revealed that M. Aliyev killed his wife out of jealousy.
The man was jealous of his wife regarding other individuals, including his own cousin. This led to escalating tensions in the family, resulting in M. Aliyev stabbing his wife to death.
The victim's father submitted a document to the court stating that he had no complaint against M. Aliyev.
The court sentenced M. Aliyev to 9 years in prison.
