Born in Sumgait, mosaic master Khatira Tapdigova has been connected to art since childhood.

After training as an architect-designer, she began working with mosaics at age 22.

Her works are inspired by Eastern literature, especially classics like Nizami, Ferdowsi, and Jami.

Khatira creates her mosaics through the harmony of mother-of-pearl and silver.

Each piece takes about a month to complete and requires extreme precision.

Her goal is to preserve and pass on the traditions of Azerbaijani miniature art.
