Setting the air conditioner to 24-25°C in summer is the optimal choice. This temperature cools the space without sudden chilling.

According to Oxu.Az, therapist and immunologist Irina Yartseva explained proper AC usage rules in an interview with Russian media.

Yartseva recommends turning on the AC one hour before starting work or going to bed. This allows the room to cool and the device to maintain temperature without strong airflow.

The doctor warns: when it's 30°C outside, do not suddenly cool the room to 18°C. Sharp temperature differences are a serious test for the body. Avoid sitting directly under cold airflow to prevent hypothermia and muscle pain.

Direct AC blades upward to avoid direct airflow on people. Another issue is dry air – AC reduces humidity, drying nasal and throat mucous membranes, causing irritation.

At home, pre-cool the bedroom and keep the AC at 24°C on silent or eco mode at night. In the office, don't turn it on at full power suddenly; maintain a steady comfortable temperature.
