The world's 25 happiest countries have been identified.
According to Oxu.Az, the ranking is based on the international Gallup World Poll survey, which assessed the well-being of residents in over 140 countries.
According to the results of the study included in the World Happiness Report 2026, Nordic countries once again dominate the top positions. However, a notable change occurred in the top five.
Finland retained the top spot, maintaining its leadership. Iceland came second, and Denmark, which has topped the ranking several times before, placed third.
The only non-Nordic country in the top five was Costa Rica. The country, which has been steadily improving its indicators, rose to fourth place.
Sweden completed the top five. Thus, four of the top five positions again belong to Nordic countries.
The study is based on the results of the Gallup World Poll survey and the following criteria: healthy life expectancy; level of social support; degree of personal freedom; people's readiness to help others; overall satisfaction with quality of life.
