Two years have passed since the return of Gazakh's villages: Baganis Ayrim, Ashagi Askipara, Kheyrimli, and Gyzylhajili to Azerbaijan.
Oxu.Az recalls that on April 19, 2024, based on President Ilham Aliyev's instruction, the Protocol of the 8th meeting of the Commissions on delimitation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia was signed.
According to the Protocol, geodetic measurements were carried out along the border line, and a Technical Protocol was drafted.
On May 15, 2024, at the 9th meeting, the Technical Protocol was agreed upon and signed.
As a result, a 12.7 km border line was determined, ensuring the return of the 4 villages (65 sq km) to Azerbaijan.
