On May 20, the seventh meeting of the Security Dialogue between Azerbaijan and the European Union was held in Baku.

Participants discussed the current state of Azerbaijan-EU relations and foreign policy issues of mutual interest. The intensification of high-level contacts was welcomed.

The sides emphasized the importance of ongoing discussions on new Partnership Priorities and a bilateral agreement. Regular dialogue under the current Partnership Agreement will continue.

Geopolitical processes, energy security, and the Middle Corridor were discussed. The EU noted Azerbaijan's key role in energy diversification.

The EU reaffirmed support for humanitarian demining in Azerbaijan. On May 19, the EU delegation visited Aghdam district.

The parties agreed to rename the format as the "Political and Security Dialogue," reflecting its expanded scope.
