Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met on June 4 in Baku with participants of the meeting of the Central Bank Council of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the meeting emphasized the importance of the Council's session, expressing confidence that it will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the financial sectors of member countries and increasing the role of central banks.
It was noted with satisfaction that cooperation among OTS member states, based on mutual trust and shared interests, is successfully developing in various directions. Under Azerbaijan's chairmanship this year, special attention is being paid to expanding ties in economic, trade, investment, transport, energy, financial, humanitarian and other fields.
The results of consistent reforms aimed at modernizing Azerbaijan's financial-banking sector, improving the quality of financial services, increasing transparency and strengthening the stability of the banking system were discussed.
The meeting also covered prospects for financial-banking cooperation within the OTS framework.
