The Milli Majlis has approved an amendment to the Law "On Protection of Greenery." According to the change, no restoration fee will be paid for cutting shrubs, flowers, and grasses that interfere with agricultural activities.
The amendment also clarifies the definitions of trees and shrubs. A tree is defined as a perennial plant with a single woody stem, while a shrub is a perennial plant without a clearly defined main stem.
For cutting shrubs, the applicant must notify the relevant authority. If no objection is raised within 10 calendar days, cutting is allowed. Providing false information is prohibited.
The bill was adopted in the third reading.
