Ana Falu, co-founder of the Latin American Women and Habitat Network, expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan at the closing ceremony of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
She praised the hospitality and thanked the government, volunteers, and all partners involved in organizing the event.
While acknowledging progress in women's rights, Falu noted that millions of women worldwide still face systemic discrimination.
She emphasized the importance of women's voices in decision-making processes: "Hearing women's voices is crucial."
The expert called for strengthening women's participation in urban planning and housing policies as a foundation for sustainable and inclusive cities.
