A delegation led by Denis Afanasyev, Vice-Governor of the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation, visited the Alley of Honor on June 25 during their visit to Azerbaijan.
The delegation first paid tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev, laying a wreath at his grave.
They then commemorated academician Zarifa Aliyeva, placing fresh flowers on her grave.
The memory of statesman Aziz Aliyev and professor Tamerlan Aliyev was also honored with flower bouquets.
The Astrakhan delegation also visited the grave of People's Artist Muslim Magomayev and laid flowers.
